2000 V70 classic 2.4 petrol ,ignition intermitent fault

Hi . can any body help me, I have got a 2000 Volvo V70 classic 2.4 petrol , I have an intermittent fault , I have replaced the ignition coils with used coils and a mass air sensor acquired of ebay it has had a new set of plugs and fuel filter , the car runs ok but it has got a niggling miss now and then.
I have got a code reader and it indicates no 2 coil, could it be a fault on the wiring ?

Turbo or N/A engine, if it is a Turbo what plugs did you last fit to it - Mike

hi again , I forgot to mention its is a non turbo model my garage fitted new plugs about 2 weeks ago my boy has only done 83000 genuine milage.

Swap coil pack two and coil pack five then see if the fault stays with cylinder 2 or migrates to number five, if it moves the coil pack is faulty.
If it doesn't move swap out the spark plugs between 2 and five then see if the fault migrates, if it does the plug is bad, if it doesn't then you are looking at wiring.
What state is the LT wiring to the coil packs like under the top cover is the black plastic convoluted conduit still in place of has it all crumbled and fallen off, if it's fallen off a careful inspection of the wiring under the top cover is advisable - Mike

Hi mike I have resolved my ignition problem, because my garage fitted a new set of platinum high grade plugs just three weeks ago, I ignored the obvious thing to do and check them as a last resort.
One of the plugs was cracked and as I pulled it out the insulation came away, I am not happy with my garage and I am having words with them.
