Radio code entered... nothing happens

I recently swapped a cd/tape combo into my wife's car. I was smart enough to jot down the vin of the car I pulled it from at the junk yard.

I called the dealer to get the code. He gave it to me. I entered it in and nada. The security light turns off but the code stays on the lcd screen.

It does not say "err" or "off"
