I removed the round cover on the opposite side on my '99 V70 last year so I could hold the cams in place with heavy duty zip ties while placing the cam cover back on.
Some of the boy racers remove these and place another oil filler cap next to the original one; makes no sense having 2 seals but it entertains them.
