2000 Volvo v40 ABS Module help

Hello, I have a 2000 Volvo v40 with the ABS and Brake lights on, no speedo/odo/info. I've narrowed it down to be either the ABS sensor or module. Picked up a cheap used module for a quick fix and tried to install it however I am having trouble getting the old one out. It's far too tight to get hands and tools in so I was looking to disconnect the brake lines and remove the entire assembly. My question is - how do you bleed the brake modules/lines or is there some trick to removing the module without doing so?
