99 V70 dog cage / cargo divider gas shocks

Does anyone know where to get repacment gas shocks for the cargo divider or "dog cage"? any leads would be appreciated! Thanks-

Haven't been able to figure out how to replace those struts quite yet... They are gas-charged and quite difficult to compress in order to install them.

I'd compress them with a clamp then try a heavy duty zip tie around the gas strut holding it shut while you fiddle with the snap on ends.

Pretty much the same as when gas charged shock absorbers arrive with the nylon strap around them. Then just snip and go.

There is no need to compress anything, especially given what would happen if the strut were to hit the window.

Just fold the seats down, let the divider move forward and push in the strut. It's a quick fix, and the part is roughly $20 at your local dealer.

thank you! once the 2nd row seats were folded down, i was able to swing the dog gate forward and was able to attach the new struts.

Does anyone still know where to get these? I checked the link that precopster sent and it does not work. Any ideas here, or just take it out of the car? I kind of like it as you can easily hang a couple of hangars of clothes on it when traveling. Thanks

Anyone know where I can find the part number for the gate itself? I need one for my 1998 V70xc and finding one without a part number is causing me consternation. My V70xc has 246k miles on it, not looking for a new part
