1999 s70 T5 IPD sport springs?

How to go faster, stop quicker, and turn harder. Chips, exhaust, larger turbos, bigger/slotted/drilled rotors, high performance brake pads, manual boost controllers, performance shocks/struts/springs, airbox mods and more! Also discussion on HID and Xenon lights, aftermarket foglights and other exterior lighting.

1999 s70 T5 IPD sport springs?

Post by nzvlnr »

I have HD bilsteins on and I am waiting for my springs. Who has installed these and could you provide some input..
1) Was the ride really comprised. I know my shocks made a huge difference in ride stiffness, the nI went to 17" rims and a lower profile tire...That has really made it stiffer and now I must fix the rattling dash
2) Did the springs take the alignment out of whack. Meaning did you need to order the camber bolts from IPC ( over 60 bucks ..ouch) in order to not wear the front tires in an odd wear pattern.

I installed these, but haven't done the back yet, so I was waiting to comment until I'd done that.

The ride is slightly more controlled on nice surfaces, but less on bad pavement. Please take this with a grain of salt.

To be honest, it's not that big of a difference vs. stock Turbo/T-5 setup (stiff, heavy duty). The ride height of iPD's springs is perfect IMHO. In the front.
