Volvo V70 XC
Volvo V70 XC
Hey guys. I think my wifes 5 series just hit the, cut loses and sell category. She has been talking about another vehicle anyways and wants a wagon. I like 2002 V70 XC and the fact that its AWD and not just FWD. Do these have any major issues or faults and how close are they to the rest of the 70 series which I have owned 2 of in the past and loved both before selling them. Thanks for any replies guys.

The newer you can afford, the better the XC
03s start the Haldex cars and also have better transmissions
Not too many 2003, it was a short model year
As said, the newest model year XC you can afford, the better it will (should) be

The 04-07 R is another animal. I have one with 200K miles on it and love it but I have a shop lift and special tools and other things it takes to fix anything wrong with it myself.
The R sits low, rides bad, has $400+ shocks at each corner, wear out front end parts faster, have HID headlights with fragile ballasts, and brings a premium price.
R's drive great, handle well, and sit well.

Sounds like the monster Im trying to get rid of. Its my wifes car so I dont want to go down that road again. XC70 is sounding like it.

OK. Went to the dealership today to see an xc70 and it was sold. Salesman talked her into driving an XC90 and she loved it. Im getting horrible reviews on the T6 models, to many to ignore but how about the 2.5T models of the XC90 anything on those? Im looking at 04-06 models.

All XC90s with 2.5T don't have a bad rap sheet but all XC90s do have more sensors and modules to guard against rollover so more can go wrong than with XC70
