1996 960 P0117 error code

i recently got a new ecu in my car because it was malfunctioning with a P0115 error and would not cold start unless my car was in the on position for around 15 minutes... then it would start with ease. I got a new ecu in my car and it worked fine for a few days... now it is throwing the P0117 engine coolant temperature curcuit low input code..... what could possibly be the problem... when i drive my car the temperature guage jumps around and my car is choking when accelerating when it is cold. my throttle has also been doing weird things and increasing the rpms for no reason..... its a tough one i know but any help would be great... thanks...

Sounds like your temp. sensor and/or thermostat has gone bad. This is typically what happens on a FWD Volvo when either of these are bad....I assume it's the same with yours.

Exactly what I was going to say because it does affect the RWD in the same way.
