Taking into consideration how many estate T5-R's are still left on the road (which...coincidentally...my new next door neighbor and I both have identical black T5-R estates!!!), is there some sort of collector value to these?
It's hard figuring out a value, because so few are ever sold leaving an online record for me to search. I know the yellow T5-R's fetch a premium, but what about the others?
Here's the honest condition of my car:
I keep it serviced at Tremaine's Volvo repair here in Dayton, OH. The guy is simply a genius (and charges for it!!!). What it needs right now is:
brake fluid flush, left front caliper, right front control arm, possible front O2 sensor, 200k maintenance, and tailgate strut, oil cooler lines have a slow leak. Basically...regular maintenance type stuff. I've already had Tremaine fix the majors over the last few years. Car pulls hard and is in reliable mechanical condition.
Cosmetically...it's an 18 year old car:
Typical seat tear in the driver's side bolster, knicks and chips here and there on the interior, small creaks from the tailgate and random places, minor curb rash on rims - which by the way are Columbas (stupid idiot previous owner sold off the OEM wheels) - and I have a set of winters mounted on separate wheels, rear tail lights need to be refinished (a cop made me crudely remove the lens tint a while back), dings and rock chips in paint - but solid paint job all around, at some point in the past some kid hopped up on the hood - so there's minor dents there.
Is $4500 too much to ask on this? And of course...I know some might try to lowball the answer to their benefit, but I'm truly curious what the demand for this car would be?
