2000 V70 Window Won't Go Up

2000 V70 Window Won't Go Up

Hi,

I have a 2000 V70. Yesterday, my driver's side window wouldn't go up. It will go down farther, but won't go back up. We took the switch pack out of the driver's door and cleaned it up with some alcohol, but it still doesn't work. The other 3 windows still work fine when using the controls on the driver's door.

How do I determine if the problem is the motor or the switch pack?

If the window motors down then there is nothing wrong with the motor therefore the issue is with the switch pack, they do fail often caused by water ingress from a slightly open window where any water sat on the roof pours straight in to the switch pack through the open window when braking - Mike
