2002 S80 Piston Ring Replacement
Looking to do a complete engine rebuild, and it looks like the only source I can find for piston rings is the dealer, or FCP at the same price as the dealer. Anyone have another supplier for quality aftermarket rings at a good price.

Try one of the machine shops. They have resources for Mahle stuff usually. (817) 335-9331 is the number for automotive machine and supply.
By the way, that engine uses cracked connecting rod caps. Scribe a line on the side of the rod that goes across parting line for cap before ever loosening the bolts. Loosen the bolts and remove the cap. IMMEDIATELY put the bolts back in and then push the piston/rod assy. bu using a socket on one of the bolts. The cap/rod parting line is the grain structure of the break and if the face gets marked up the cap will not go down and crush rod bearings on re-assembly. Another oddity is no tangs on bearing shells. You center them in rod and cap laterally and bolt together.
