I had my front and rear transmission seals replaced. Had to have it done twice because the car started to leak after the first job. The second day after picking the car up, the car wouldn't start when I turned the key. I wiggled the gear selector then the car started. I had to do that twice while running errands. When I got home and shut the car off, it wouldn't start at all. Lights, windshield wipers and horn work. My question is could this have something to do with the transmission work. My research rusults indicate that it could also be a bad pnp switch or starter. Any suggestions would be helpful. Research also states that I should start off with a code troubleshoot. I just thought it was wierd that I was having this problem one day after picking it up. Thank you.

Get it back to where you had the work carried out, the shop probably hasn't put the selector cables back on the gearbox correctly or they have disturbed the PNP switch causing it not to crank on the starter - Mike

not sure about pnp switch causing no-starts, but theres 2 ignition sensors and the fuel pump circuit that can cause no-starts on this model.
the 2 ignition sensors are the camshaft position sensor, and the crank position (or pulse) sensor. they provide inputs to the ECU and then to the coil. if the ECU doesnt see them? coil doesnt work. if you unplug either of their connectors under the distributor, the car will NOT start.
these plugs were likely unconnected for your repair. were they they put back? check yourself under distributor.
if the coil was messed with and not reconnected properly...no start.
for fuel pump circuit, while it can cause no starts (1 fuel pump, 2 relays, 1 spade relay), i cant think how they would have dislodged that circuit for their repair. check the above 2 connections for ignition.

I know im not a certified professional, but I have done alot of research, and had a similiar issue with no start, twice now. The first thing i would do is take it to the mechanic who worked on it, cause if they screwed up they pay for it. However if they didnt, check for Fuel and spark. make sure you got those before you start replacing things.
