Nothing, in fact I would trust it more so than any aftermarket brand.
I swapped out a junkyard MAF to diagnose the 855. Being a Bosh original part # I trusted its integrity.
The car it was removed from was a crashed wreck so that indicated a running car. (one would think)

It's good to remember we have different criteria of risk tolerance as well as time/money/risk balance - he offers respectfully.

Im likely sending first Pumpkin off to college in my V70 in Sep so Im pretty much using new, Volvo parts for any repairs at this stage. Y M/T/RT MV

I also realised my pick-and-pull experience is limited to the Northeast - ergo Im used to seeing cars in rain/snow/slush with all wet and rusty parts - if I lived in "THE OC" I bet I would feel differently!

Very true. The answer was generic as the question - respectfully.
I was admittedly selfish in considering my own criteria. Me.

None taken, Ben. Hope you didn't feel my post was judgmental. I think you guys who hit the yards get a good sense for a good vs a junk "junker" and can harvest good parts and save a bundle. I'm slowly getting my T5 into shape where it can go to college with minimal upkeep while its away.

A higher quality MAF solved my stalling problem, and removed my running lean code.
