1987 240 DLRunning Geeat./Hit pothole/motor stopped

I own a 1987 Volvo 240 DL with 125K. Runs like a top. Have owned it for 9 years. Last week I changed the plugs and wires. Car ran fine all week. I was returning home and hit a pothole on the road in front of my neighborhood. The motor stopped generating power to the wheels and then the motor stopped. I was able to coast into my driveway. Did I snap a timing belt, jar my coil? I do not know how to troubleshoot this and would greatly appreciate any advice, as this is my daily driver.

10 minutes later..... I went back over all the new wires and was checking the coil to distributor. I saw one of the power leads to the coil off its' terminal. Back on, life is good. Potholes suck in SC because there is no money to fix them. My apologies for reaching before having double checked. This forum is great. I read a lot and learned a lot.
