Dear gentlemen,
Has anybody overhauled B 4204 S engine ? I just wander if there was a serious reason to do this. Some broken parts found ?
My engine ran about 250 000 km and I still doubt if I need to carry out a major overhaul or just to replace some parts. Still no problems with engine itself... Any thoughts.....

Why are you mulling over the need for a major overhaul if you think the engine is still okay?
A simple compression test of all cylinders should give you some idea.
If they each read near similar compression and are not especially low you can probably leave it.
A head overhaul could be near due for valves, stem seals etc but again the compression test should show up problems.
Are you burning excessive oil. Blue exhaust smoke ? Any knocking noises from bearings ?

If all is basically okay then just continue with good regular maintenance,oil/filter changes etc.
Things like timing belt, water pump, tensioner, oil seals etc are more likely to fail first so watch them and replace if required.
