Crankcase vent hose connection problems

Having installed new crankcase vent hose (#9125598) on oil separator, I am having difficulties aligning the bayonet hose connection to the air supply hose (#9141229) on the inlet manifold. Can anyone help me as to why I am having these problems. Please see attached photo.

The car I am working on is a Volvo 850 NA non turbo B5252S.

Can't really tell. Did you get it pinched under the intake manifold? Or, did you connect it on the wrong port at the oil box? Is should be on the front/closest port. Many photos show it on the wrong port.

The crankcase vent hose is connected to the closest center port. After close inspection, the hose air supply #9141229 apparently does not fit my VIN. Apparently the hose air supply part that fits my VIN is #9179301. Can anyone tell me the difference between these two parts? Perhaps this is why the bayonet lugs are not able to rotate properly to engage correctly.

I would like to know if the lug locations are in different positions? My problem is that my breather pipe #9125598 (correct for my VIN and engine number) will not engage correctly into the lug holes of the air supply hose #9141229 and was wondering if someone knew whether the lug holes of air supply hose #9179301 where aligned slightly different to allow me to engage my breather pipe correctly?
