IPD pod boost gauge

It states to install the electrical leads from the PINK + BLACK wires on the headlight , but my 99s70 t5 has a seperate dimmer ( see pic). Should I attach the leads to the dimmer or the headlight switch. I want the gauge to dim with the rest of the lights when I dim them,.... the dimmer is on the right
