1995 850 GLT Wagon , Engine Cranks but will not start

Hello again Volvo enthusiasts !
My wife's 95 850 glt N/A 20 valve cranks but wont start.
so far i have determined that there is SPARK between the coil pack and primary ignition wire.
I have also observed a fuel smell after cranking.
There are no related codes from the OBD 2 connector with code reader.(haven't checked under hood diag boxes yet.( battery was disconnected so not sure I will find any).
would a faulty Cam sensor cause NO SPARK condition? AND, what happens exactly in Volvos when there is a faulty CAM Sensor? How does the ECM react with bad Cam Sensor?
I hooked up spark tester light between coil pack and primary IG wire, and the light was orange in color, it was lighting up. but I thought it looked a little dim, ..it could just be my cheapo test light though.
Does anyone agree that it sounds like I have a simple Faulty Distributor Cap & Rotor Issue?

Check spark at the plugs, make sure you have fuel, if both good, check compression.

Were you able to come up with a solution? I am having the same issues with my 95 850

There ia a no start flow diagram posted in the sticky section. Sometimes these cars get flooded so badly you have to pull the pligs and?crank them really long (a few minutes) with the fuel pump fuse pulled (so no fuel enters?the cylinders). Might do the trick.
And use the OBD blinky box if it still refuses to start.
