97 850 GLT AC Only Working On One Side

Hey guys, 97 850 GLT, 242k miles. It was in the 80s last week and I turned on the air conditioning only to find it was blowing hot air

I realized though that it is only blowing hot out of the driver's side. The passenger side is blowing ice cold.

Tried searching, but couldn't really find anything definite. What should I be checking out here?

try swapping driving with your partner. S/he might be hotter than you..

OK - seriously - the Volvo AC uses two motors under the dash to change the mix (hot cold) of the driver and passenger air flow, independently. The good news is the expensive parts of your AC are working since you have cold on one side. All that is wrong is the blend door motor (Electronic Climate Control) or the cable (Manual Climate Control) on the driver side.
