What exactly is the cam lock tool needed for?

I no this is an old topic just wanted to add that i got 1 of those cam locker tools from ipd the 30$ ones with 4 pegs and painted blue, and it didn't even fit right. And there response was something to the sort of.. there are some factors with the gears themselves that will and can play into the tool not working correctly. So be warned. But it could've been a personal error but no matter what i did, when i had it in time it wouldn't fit so yea was wondering if this has ever happend to anyone?

Yeah,

That blue tool is basically a waste of money.
Don't use any cam locking tool, no need for that.

i wish i was told this before i did the job. And i agree. although it might take a little longer cause it might slip a tooth a couple times without it locked but when u get you will be glad you saved 30$. They said send it back but i don't think i will. They should do like a real company and send you a return box so you dont have to deal with the post office and all that bs since it is there fault on the crappy product.

LOL, tell them to send you a box for it, they probably will, as much as they charge for shipping. I would pay the $3 to ship it back and get $27 back.
