S80 2005 Fitted a BLP870 unit and no sound

Hi folks. new to this site but it seems to be the best Volvo site. My issue is I bought an aftermarket unit for my Volvo S80. It's a Bluepower BLP870 unit with satnav, reverse and front camera etc. I connected it up today but there is no sound at all. The query I have is that my car had a HU-850 stereo in it. Further to this the car also had Volvo Sat Nav with RTi. When I took out this unit, there was the usual green plug for power etc and two Din plugs (one was an 8 pin plug with a black sheath and the other is a 6 pin plug with a grey sheath). As the only connector supplied was a six pin din connector, I have connected this to the six pin plug as the other won't fit. When I powered it up, everything works fine but absolutely no sound for anything. I checked all my connections incase something wasn't making a good connection but all seemed fine. I now suspect that the other 8 pin din plug is the amp connection as the car has Dolby, and satnav. My Volvo satnav won't start now and the clock in the dash doesn't keep time anymore (just displays --:--). Can someone please help me?

Do you have an amplifier under your front seat? It is on RH side on LHD north American models and I think it stays there on RHD cars as well.

Yeah the amplifier is there. it was working yesterday with the HU-850. I even checked the fuse for the amp but that's fine too. At a loss.

I can't tell you why you haven't got sound,
but I can tell you that the six pin is the amp.
The eight pin is something that I would ask
BluePower about. If they're still around...
