save a volvo 240 from ceremonial execution!

1984 Volvo 240 - LH fuel system I believe (the two fuel relays)
Car runs fine when both fuel pumps are shorted at fuse box to bypass relays. I just replaced both relays to no avail. I have not checked the ignition switch yet to determine if that it is not connecting to trigger the relays (do not want to invest the time until someone confirms it is a common problem). I am going to fill this car with propane canisters and blow it straight to hell unless someone has a good idea on how to fix it easily and cheaply. I have now invested over $200 dollars of my hard earned cash into this abysmal abomination of automotive junk ($100 for car, $77 dollars for tires, $26 dollars in relays, $3.50 for unjustified fuel can, $20 in burned gas). The car drove fine for hundreds for miles after I purchased it before it started acting like a filthy whore and started sucking absurdly hard. I will paypal someone $2.46 if they are able to help me get this running properly. Worst case scenario, I am just going to put a switch on the dash to short out the fuse box every time I am getting ready to drive it. Alas, I fear if I fix it this way and sell it to someone who drinks heavily they may forget to turn it off and end up destroying their home upon arrival and killing their children. Please save someone's innocent children and help me fix this car!

What you need is a new engine wire harness. Read some of Dave Bartons info on this very common failure.(they all do it)

Replacing the wiring harness in the car is FAR more work than I am looking to do with this car. It cannot be more than one wiring fault as everything worked fine until one moment. It also must be in the wiring to the relay since shorting them powers the pumps and replacing both of them did nothing. I'd much rather find out a straight wiring diagram to the relay and manually rewire all of it's connections.

I think I am just going to jump the car to a friend's land and blow the car up for fun. I will post a video if I do. If anyone is interested in it, let me know.

Be sure to pull out the Air Mass Meter, LH Computer, and the ignition computer before you blow it up. They fetch top dollar on eBay.

I would love to see the video.
