another pcv question.

A temporary fix: spray some seafoam or deep creep down the upper PCV hose (the one that goes under the spark plug boot cover.)

so Friday I put a nitrile glove over the oil filler and it blew up like a rooster head. today I took the intake off cleaned the oil separator box witch was is good shape but dirty. changed all the vacuum lines and put it back together with a new intake gasket. started it up put the glove over the oil filler and it actually sucked it in a bit. total cost under 20$ and a half day hanging out at work on my day off with the music playing and the coffee pot on .

Very nice. I usually suggest that people replace the system in the process. I don't think $150 is a lot, especially when most people find broken lines when they pull the manifold off.

ya the original lines were very brittle and broken. I reused the box and the hose going from the box to the block the rest is all new .

I am a mechanic and the garage I work at has a autoparts store as well. plus I have pails of vacuum elbows ,hose plastic tubing and so on, I don't pay for most of my parts either so ya 20$ covered it and a oil change with a wix filter.
