2006 XC70 Position Light

[2006 Volvo]

How do I remove and replace the passenger side, rear position bulb? I have tried getting in there with my hand but cannot turn the bulb to get it out (like with the brake light bulb). I have tried removing the whole assembly but can only get at two of the nuts holding it all in. I would appreciate any suggestions.
PS . I have tried just banging the lense assembly from the outside (as was suggested on some other sites) but this did not work.
