Hi All,
Just wondering if this is normal or not?
The power steering fluid in my 1997 S70 was a murkey/cloudy red color. I decided this didn't look right so I replaced it with some fresh fluid.
After a couple of days the fresh clear red fluid that I added has also turned a cloudy red color.
Is this normal? or is it a sign that something is not right? there is no foam or anything on top of the fluid.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks,
Ramilio

When I change the power steering fluid I usually do it in several steps. I suck out all of the old fluid with a turkey baster, refill it with fresh, and then start the car and run the steering from lock to lock several times. From there I repeat the process another two or three times until the fluid is nice and clear.
