sc815 vs sc816

I replaced my sc815 with unit bought on ebay and new replacement cd did not work nor the left bank of speakers. I used my old sc815 (cd worked great) and installed it in new unit but cd did not work so I replaced the back vertical printed circuit board from my old radio but that did not work either. I trace wiring on vertical p/c board and it seems that it goes to the main p/c board of radio. I see a lot of sc816 on ebay and would like to know if it would work with sc815 wiring connectors in my car before I buy another unit on ebay?
