Does anyone know why my passenger side temperature dial no longer changes the passenger side from hot to cool?

Occasionally, it will "reset" after a few drive cycles but it doesn't seem to be happening at any specific point.

Thanks

Do you have ECC (Electronic Control Climate)?
If so, then search forum for "damper motor".

I'm not sure if I do but that sounds like a likely culprit

Thanks

I did a short write up on how to diagnose, remove and clean up a damper motor. You could also just remove and replace a bad damper with a new/used one. Cleaning up the old damper and reinstalling it fixed my problem with lack of temperature control in the ECC on my '97 855 GLT:
