Will this S70 Intercooler Fit My 850? [split post]

well I decided I'm going to swap 1 part a week until i figure it out.

last week I did the CBV, and hot side from the turbo. (made sure the Waste gate) wasn't leaking....
I also replaced ALLLLLL the Vac lines from the turbo and the vac tree.

made no change....

so Today i pulled me intercooler....

I'm told that it looks like it was leaking? I assume they are talking about the black marks.

I have a spare from an S70... I cleaned it up.......

The marks in the photo are from the water I used to clean it up...

but i wanted to know why is mine black and this one silver? is one any better/different than the other?

Split from 95 855T5 won't hold boost.

UMMMMMM its not a Radiator... but thanks...

And it did fit just fine...

I'd still like to know if the intercoolers are any different?

When 98's came out one of the new car training bits of info was that the intercooler capacity was increased. It physically fits. I have an 850 intercooler and when I replaced radiator on a 1998 xc70 I compared and I recalled the tube count and maybe depth were greater.
