The car starts quickly then quits after 1 or 2 seconds. Cranking the starter again right away repeats the symptoms. Stepping on the accelerator while the starter cranks gives higher revs but only for a second or two, then quits.
It seems like there is enough fuel for a start, then the fuel runs out, then replenishes for the next start. Plenty of gas in the tank. I replaced the fuel filter with no effect. 25 AMP fuse is continuous and clean. Flame trap is clean. Fuel pressure test next? Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

Does the engine die immediately when you let off the start switch?
Sorta like the ignition has been cut off?
Or more like it's running out of fuel....Huh...Huh....Huhhhhhh.

More like it runs out of fuel. I still need to check if power is reaching the main pump. I don't hear it humming...
