I said goodbye to my 2000 S40 today. It really wanted to die, and I let it go. Just about every problem listed on this site occurred. Things were starting to go bad on a monthly basis, taking good money along for the ride.
Thanks to all who helped and shared misery. This will be my last Volvo. It will never be the same as it was in the quirky old days. The world is moving too fast.
