I will also add I'm going tomorrow to buy some items.

Two 6500w generators. One for me, one for my parents. I haven't found any seriously bad reviews anywhere and have read they will put out clean power provided you dial them in right.

One 14hp Predator engine. A mostly Honda Clone, but a 20% coupon brings it well below $300. I'm getting it to repower the massive beast pictured below as a backup to the 13hp Honda pressure washer mounted in my pressure washing trailer. I might siamese it with my other to get 8gpm, I don't know yet but for the price you can't go wrong.

you gotta play HF right....it's tempting to buy the $3 tools but for the most part they are as bad as having no tools at all.

i have never had a problem with the 1/2" clicker tq wrench i have from them, but i'm planning some engine work on my 99 and am not really sure i trust it or the 3/8" clicker that i bought a few years ago but have never used. any experience with these? can i check the calibration somehow?

i have a beam-type wrench, which may be better to use for head bolts if i end up doing them.

I repowered a TroyBilt Rototiller with a Predator two years ago. It was $99 delivered to my door, with year replacement warranty. It run great. I replaced a Tecumseh engine that cracked a ring. When I priced parts alone to rebuild the Tecumseh, Predator was less expensive. Predator starts with one pull everytime. Sips gasoline, plenty of power. My guess its made in the same factory as Subaru Robin Engines, The Great Wall Small Engine Concern of Chendu or something like it.

I find it hard to believe that a beagle owner would have good taste (just kidding i had one, Belle, until I was eight, and then another, Bonnie, from then onward that lived 18 years, long enough for my son Elijah, the one who's 850 burst into flames, to play with the same beagle I had from my childhood.) BTW Megan, who works at the Austin TX location, is a bonnie lass in her own right! I always try to end up in her line even when the other cashiers are beckoning me over. Guilty as charged.

I do wish Pittsburgh would release a set of the new pass through socket technology.

Everytime I walk in the garage, I see something else I got at Harbor Freight.

I bought a side hanging cabinet to use as a Drill Press stand. I added wheels to the base, using 1/4 inch aluminum and angle, and an MDF top. Handy, keeps the drill press off the work bench, and all drills are in a drawer.

Also a large floor jack for around $80. Great time saver. Also when I got my 08 Outback, with 17 inch wheels, I needed it for the higher lift.

I wanted to say first off that I really like Harbor Freight: they truly have some great tools at great prices -- maybe the lowest prices I've seen anywhere. I own a lot of their tools and am happy with them. Having said that, it made me laugh to see this parody of Harbor Freight published in Mad magazine. Enjoy!

That is the funniest parody I have read in my short canine life. I remember reading my older brother's MAD magazines when I was 5 or 6 (Yes, we teach 2 year olds how to read in my family, everybody should try it. Having a house with a much greater ratio of written materials to electronic mental pacifiers, makes it very easy to accomplish) Spy vs. Spy was the best, it was my introduction to the Tao.
