If I may suggest another more nuts and bolts solution that might work;
1. Buy, borrow, steal a tap and die set.
2. Get a fine thread bolt the width of the aperature, cut short to fit.
3. Tap out aperature.
4. Install bolt in hole with some red loctite or RTV on threads.
5. Relax

The bolt idea is tempting, but I had a hell of a time getting that other bolt to quit leaking too.
Cleaned and scraped all the old JB weld out tonight, sanded all the stuck on stuff out, and cleaned it thoroughly with acetone. When I stabbed into the plug with my knife blade, oil gushed out like I was dissecting something in Biology lab. It was almost like oil had found its way in between the bits of the weld.
I got the high temp, high strength JB weld this time. Noticeably harder to squeeze out of the tube (I actually busted the end of it open squeezing on it), but I checked on it after 6 hours and it seems to have hardened into a much firmer plug than the quick-set stuff that reminded me more of silicone in a way. Again, looks like its made a real good seal, but theres no telling what will happen.
8 AM tomorrow should be right around the 15 hours for it to dry. Hope it works this time.

FIXED!!!
And this means...for the first time in 5 years...nothing is leaking.
For those of you with this one, the REAL JB weld is a good fix. It seems to have dried much harder than the quick-set stuff.

Good Job...Hope it holds. Had a similar problem for a different (non-automotive) application. I found that there are several manufacturers of (expansion plugs/cup plugs) - "good old frost plugs"....is various sizes including Metric - CarQuest/Napa had Dorman Brand in the closest size in stock. The tapered design provides for a good start and seal - just cleaned the hole completely and applied some Permenant Loctite (Loctite has it's own cleaner/activator) and drove it in the hole. (Sorry for the late reply...just came across this post.) Anyways...Congrats...

Oh my- I had a bad valve and a new head put on my car. Get it back and the top of the engine leaks. It appears that they did not seal the head well enough to keep oil from coming out of this hole I tried the cork but it worked its way up. Right now I have one of those wine bottle rubberized clip down things in that hole (the kind you put on a wine or beer bottle after opening it when you don't want to drink it all at once)...I'm thinking that it will work its way out and pop out of the hole. Gonna go get some JB Weld at the store and try this later today too. I can't see that it's the PCV tube or the oil inlet o-ring that the oil is leaking from but it does leak to the top of the engine and after boosting and the hole in question is full of oil every time. The mechanic tried some silicone stuff but most of it wasn't holding and gushed oil, much like other posts described here. Will have to clean that out before I can put the JB Weld in. Wish me luck- I hope this works like it did for JBlackburn!!!

Don't know if it's a success or not but the wine top clip held under 17psi!!! - but there's still a leak and it's not the typical culprits- it seems that it's coming from actual bolts.
