1999 S70 Dash mounts, should I reinforce?

I braced all of my mounts. Three were broken.

Maybe you can screw a different kind of screw in the 2 holes that you couldn't get to catch. Some metal self tapping screws or something. If that works you may not have to install this new dash.

I thought that I could get better support and tighter support going the way I went.

The Bondo fiberglass kit works well for this. Available at Walmart/autozone/etc. in a small black box.

Lay down the resin-soaked fiberglass pieces around the mounts and build it up in 2-3 layers, one layer at a time allowing it to cure between layers. Rock hard, no fiddling with glues or pastes, brackets or screws. You can put the fiberglass pieces behind, inside, around the plastic mounts.. just as long as you leave a hole for the bolt to go through.
