I just replaced my alternator and it only 4 bolts are required to be removed. Had to lower my coolant level too. I used Robert DIY's video over on UTube
Robert's method has you take out the power steering bracket/ tensioner bracket out in one piece. Very tight maneuvering to access all four bolts. Think two had nuts and two had built in fixed nuts. So three of these bolts connect through the alternator in some way and the fourth holds just the bracket. Turns out there was nothing wrong with my alternator so bad on me. Robert has a slew of 850 videos. Just type in 850 alternator on google and you'll see his video mentioned.

Completely agree, I just did one too. If you search around there are quite a few posts that recommend this method, it is not a bad job at all when done this way.MNCO1 wrote:I just replaced my alternator and it only 4 bolts are required to be removed. Had to lower my coolant level too. ....
