1998 V70R Intermitent Power Steering Squeel

Post by eyeballumbrella »

I have been having a problem lately with the power steering squealing and occasionally getting bubbles in the reservoir. The problem sometimes just goes away and comes back at random. There is a small leak in the system that I have maintained, but refilling the fluid doesn't seem to have an appreciable effect. I also have noticed more resistance when steering to the right than the left. (I have already replaced both outer tie rods with oem volvo and aligned the car). My next guess is to replace the whole pump, but before I do that I was hoping someone out on MVS would have some insight. Thanks!
