850R Bumper cover. Worth the price?

Help, Advice and DIY Tutorials on Volvo's P80 platform cars -- Volvo's 1990s "bread and butter" cars -- powered by the ubiquitous and durable Volvo inline 5-cylinder engine.

850R Bumper cover. Worth the price?

I know they are rare. I have an opportunity to buy one for $125 used and lightly scuffed. (not a problem)

The problem is shipping will be $150. So the question would be, is $275 too much for an OEM R bumper cover/spoiler?
Does anyone know what people are getting for them lately?

I am still interested, even at that price unless anyone knows where I could source one cheaper.
I will add a WTB in the classifieds as well.

I think you would do much better if you have the time to hit local U-Pull-It junk yards and spent the $25 for a bumper.

$275 is somewhere in the middle. Not a ripoff, not a steal.

Both bumpers on my '93 are from the yards. The front bumper cover, foam absorber, and aluminum beam for $36.50. Same for rear.

But not "R".

I'll second that. I've never seen an R at any JY around here.

On that note, I was all packed up to go to Parts Galore this morning. Tools, had my clothes ready... Everything. I stepped outside and just couldn't deal with the wind chill. I think it was - 25. Even though the actual temp was only - 2f I would have went but the wind wasn't playing games today.

I HAVE seen a few R's in the junk yard, NONE had the R front bumper. If you can afford it, do it. Freaking shipping is rough.

I shipped one through greyhound for about $60 if I remember correctly.

I think the $125 price for an R bumper cover is very reasonable, but I would see if the seller could ship it through Greyhound. I bought an R bumper cover too and the seller shipped it through Greyhound shipping; cost me $70 for shipping.
