Did misplacement of the bracket causing vacuum leak?

Well, if the bracket is between the manifold and block, there us about a 3mm open air gap into the manifold....the MOAL......

Aha a vacuum leak. We can feel good about suggesting over and over that was the main problem.

Hope it's all back together now!

Just a heads-up: on the PCV system, the oil trap needs to be clean (good job) but is the least problematic of all the parts. The most critical thing to check is the drain back into the block, from the bottom of the oil trap. Then second would be the lines from the oil trap to the fresh air snorkel, and from the intake manifold to the PTC, they get easily clogged or when old they crack.

Oil is leaking somewhere from the turbo... Crap! Just when I thought everything was just fine. It's leaving puddles of oil. Clean oil... Shit.. Money down the leak! Lol

Any links for turbo rebuild? What kind of turbos were put on these engines? It's a 97 850R.

Need help please!

The turbo on your car is a "15g" or more thoroughly it is a Mitsubishi TD04HL-15G.

Best source for rebuild kits is eBay, but ONLY buy the Mitsubishi branded kit. Or send it to G-Pop Shop, they are the bomb but they will charge you $350.

Just because it is leaking does not mean it is shot, these turbos are very hardy. One common cause of leaky turbos is a clogged oil return drain line, the one that drains into the oil pan. Not the only cause, but a common one. Do the turbo coolant hoses while you are in there.
