1999 S80 T6 Voltage fluctuating?

Hello all,

At low revs or when idling the dashboard lights and headlight are slightly pulsating. Usually this points to a bad voltage regulator. Battery is charging fine though and there are no error codes reported. Any tips?

Riba, does your engine vibrates while idle? if yes then its definitely not any electrical problem but might issues with your engine parts.

Middle Eastern Volvo support in action again.

Well, as I still haven't replaced the engine mounts it is hard to say if it vibrates more than normal, but I did notice that sometimes it runs more uneven that usual, but I did not notice any correlation between the two. I guess I should first do all the things I have lined up right now and then check this. I should check for the possible coolant leak, but I will start a separate thread on it.

hahaha, because I know the pain we face in ME. what I actually mean, some kind of like this Video

I know the Video one is more surging but even your engine is near to that or at least your engine sounds like in this video, then its your engine for sure. You are right, you have to get the engine works fully before worrying about the electrical issue. Good luck!

It's not that, revs are stable 900rpm in my case...when I eventually figure it out I will report back. Tnx!
