Today, 10-2-13, I worked on both 850s. The Sedan and the wagon both needed the low tone horn. I was fortunate to get both at the pick and pull cheap.
Note: '93 horns have a different connector than '94.5 and on. The front harness is loaded with different connectors. Lighting (all), horns, wiper motors (headlights). Basically, the whole front harness is different.
What I was really doing was an oil change, and a trans drain and fill on the wagon when I remembered the horns I had picked up months ago. The high horn alone is not the least bit intimidating, and does not seem to get any attention.

Perfect weather today.
I had bought "eyebrows" last year and painted them for the Sedan, but ended up installing them on the wagon. It has become the daily driver and although I don't like a modified looking car, these seem to give it a subtle look that you don't realize at first. Something just looks a bit different. They have grown on me over the last few weeks since I've put them on.
I forgot to get a photo with the hood shut but will add one when I get a chance.

I had also come across (finally) another white 850 last week and grabbed the hood and left fender, ($77.50 total) . The original hood on the Sedan can now be retired since the accident damage is still evident.
After I finish cleaning up some surface rust near the grill the new hood will go on the Wagon, and the Wagon hood will move to the Sedan. It has minor ripples at the rear corners from when the previous owner accidentally let the hood fly up. Not noticeable unless you look closely.

Next, Rear brakes, calipers, e-brakes, rotors and pads.

Much work to be done.
I have a fluid bullet proofing and brake make-over in order.
I had bought many parts for the wagon. It will remain sleeper in appearance but be stout and dependable.

I had seen a small coolant leak after a long drive. I had become concerned and do not want to think about it anymore.
Somewhat like buying the Gates blue timing Sedan, I am just going silicone hose for everything on the wagon. I will not be doing it twice on this car, and I cannot wait until the brakes come next week.

Consider getting some Mikalor clamps for the blue hoses, the stainless ones are best as they don't rust - Mike

Thanks Mike, I have been shopping clamps. I've seen a few brands that seem reputable, and others from China that the price will let on to the quality.

On the turbo plumbing, I have decided a 3" throttle body upgrade would be simple. That would be a 3" as opposed to the turbo 2-1/2 ". I now have a Snabb silicone adapter so the FCP Sport silicone pipe from the kit may show up in the "Parts for sale" section soon. I have a thread for the throttle body in the Performance and modification forum.

The manifold will also come from an N/A with a 3" bore at the throttle body. I can get one for less than $30. from the yards. The other option is to open the bore on the existing manifold from 2.5" to 3", but that would be tedious and time consuming. When I can get another manifold that cheap I think it to be a better way to go.

The 3" throttle body is from an N/A '95 850, while the throttle plate is from a '93 960.

The ongoing issue is the ECC unit. I have no power to the unit at this date 12-20 13, but the fan is now rebuilt, and other parts have been swapped. I may be dealing with a wiring issue that the previous owner had caused while hard wiring the heater fan.

I also have a plan for the fresh air to turbo tube. That would be the one with the PTC hose and element.

I did find an N/A manifold at the pull yard. The intake tubes have also arrived.

I also have 10' of 5mm silicone vacuum line coming.

It will be a blue maze.

Better breathing on the way.
White injectors are also on the way.

I found a '96 850R ECU on e-bay for $65. shipped yesterday and bought it immediately.

It came out of a '96 R Wagon so I don't think I should encounter any problems.

The only thing missing now is the R exhaust manifold. I am not sure I care about that unless I was to change out the turbo. It would simply be a pain to do, and it ain't broke.

Lucky find for $65. (not my Photo. I don't have it yet.)

If I go to a 16T or larger I might consider it. Otherwise, the original is fine.

Ok, I couldn't resist. I knew once I picked up a turbo 850 I would go overboard, out of control... you know.
I did buy an '04 R exhaust manifold.

Tis is the actual one I had bought.

It is the newer "Japanifold". They are actually all made in Japan.
To add to the blue stuff, I ordered silicone expansion tank hoses from Sweden that look indestructible.

They are 5-ply or something.

When it does get warm, I will at least add a few photos of the brake parts I have put together for the compliment.
Deliveries are coming today and will be added to this post.
