2002 V70 T5 Front Suspension Replacement

Post by dos_volvos »

I need some help from you guys regarding the order of replacing the front suspension on the 2002 V70 T5. I am using the FCPEuro package - Sachs struts/spring seats/bearings, Lemforder controls arms, Meyle outer tie rod ends/sway bar end links. What's the best order in R/R the front suspension? Thanks...

Can you please rephrase the question? Do you want to know which order to replace things in or which are the best parts for the car?

Sorry for the confusion. I have the aforementioned FCPEuro front suspension parts in hand. I would like to know what's the best order in R/R the front suspension e.g. Control arms then struts or struts then control arms? Or does it even matter which order when replacing the parts. Thanks.

You'll probably find it easier to remove the strut first and then remove the control arms. By removing the caliper and brake disc you can easily pull the hub/knuckle assembly together with the control arm so you can work on the difficult task of ball joint removal on the ground or on a bench.
