You can replace them with new ones, they cost about $150 each last I checked.
You can pull & spray them with bumper trim paint.

They just pull/snap right off from the outside, nothing needs to be unscrewed and nothing inside is disturbed. Start at the front corner on the lower windshield. But move carefully, there is old plastic involved here.

Yup as others have said, you can peel off all the paint and roll with the aluminum look or you can paint it with bumper paint.
Make sure you get paint for bumpers, I believe it comes in a spray can since it can flex and won't crack when it dries. I repainted mine and it came out pretty good. Good luck.

I have pulled them from the yards for around $8 a piece for my sedan and my wagon.
If you pull them from '98-'00 s/v 70 they have a better design that keeps rain/washer fluid from coming in the side windows while moving.

I wouldn't buy then outright unless you have no problems spending that kind of money. Any pick and pull type junk yard will have them. They may not be in perfect condition but it is worth a shot if you are doing the install yourself.rspi wrote:You can replace them with new ones, they cost about $150 each last I checked.

It is the same with many of the parts that do not perform a physical, (legitimate mechanical) service to the longevity, and/or existence of the vehicle.
If it looks good, do it.
Inexpensive works in such situations.
*&(%^%$%&*(I am on a roll)
If I were to spend $300 on moldings as opposed to a timing belt and pulleys?
