I thought I'd give a head's up that Auto-RX has both free shipping and a December coupon.
I just got two containers of it for 40.94 total.
I'm gonna give it a go since I've leaked just about enough oil out of my car over the past 1000 miles to easily put on a new filter + autoRX + more 10w30 Castrol...
Wish me luck.

Good luck! I'll probably be ordering more also.
All three of mine are on Auto-Rx - the two high mileage ones have completed two full cycles already with some improvement in performance and it has helped with some seal leaks.

Hey, good luck Luke! I'll be interested to hear how this goes - am considering it for mine. How many filter changes are you expecting to do?

Go for it. I'll keep everyone updated.. I just walked in the door from Christmas at the inlaw's and my Auto-RX was waiting in the mail box. It looks like gravy.. I'm going to let it warm up to room temperature before putting it in my car.

Another for the thread. I have a few hundred miles left before draining the Auto-Rx out of the volvo and 500 miles left on the windstar. Next will be the washout with regular mineral oil and a repeat performance on the windstar since it has 120,000 miles.
As of this writing all is well. No overall changes in performance or improvements in mileage on either car.
I used purolator filters for this and when all is complete will go back to the mann filters and synthetic mobile 1 on the volvo.

I put my stuff in last night, but also dumped in a jug of fuel injector cleaner into the gas.. So if anything smooths out, it will be hard to tell what it is.
Now that I have fixed my odometer, I can actually be somewhat accurate about the Auto-RX regimen.
I need to read the forums online to see how to best use this stuff. I typically drive my cars harder than most, so if the best way to make it work is to drive leisurely, it is going to be tough to pull off

Day 1, 35 miles into things:
I already notice a -slight- difference. The whole time I've owned my Volvo, I have been annoyed at the way the gas pedal feels on my foot. It's hard to explain to most people, but I felt vibration/resonation... something that told me either the engine wasn't running right, or it was just a quirk of 850 cars.
However, I recently drove a 98 V70GLT since it was at a local dealer, because I wanted to compare/contrast it to my car. It was smoother, like I expected but ran pretty similarly (it had about the same amount of miles on it.)
Anyway, I can already feel a difference on the gas pedal. It's almost as if cylinder walls are smoother and the engine is able to spin more freely. Under accelleration, or while holding speed on the road, the gas pedal is losing this 'gritty' feeling I had been experiencing. The engine is also idling slightly smoother, and slightly higher rpm.
I like to say I have car autism, because the things I notice or complain about, nobody else that drives the car has any clue what I'm talking about. But anyway, I already notice this one thing.
Remember, my original compression tests were something like 150. 150. 150. 150. 135.
Well, I'm hoping that Auto-RX is able to bump my numbers and equalize the issue in cylinder #5. I suspect it might already be starting to work its way into places, because the engine (however slightly) has smoothed out a bit.
I'm using Castrol GTX 10w30 oil in there with it, for what it's worth.

Sounds good...hope everything keeps going in the direction that it seems to be going. Btw, I always used Castrol GTX in my old 850 and every other subsequent car before switching to Mobil-1 Synth. Good oil!
