01 V's 02 Transmission

Hi ALl,

Have a 2.4 Base Model S60 (2002), it has the AW55 and typically its broken! slipping from 1st to 2nd.

Found an listing for a transmission from a 2001, without the turbo, can anyone tell me if its the same transmission?

Will it fit and work?

Has the used transmission had valve body work done? If not you'll be in the same boat before long. Was the car the used trans was sourced from driven/tested by anyone?

Unfortunately this is unlikely if it's from a dismantler. Also mileage of a used gearbox is pretty critical.

The final drive is probably ok for your car if it's non turbo however I'd be learning more about the chassis range the new gearbox is from and have someone with Vida check compatability.

I have Vida, I just dont want to order it, ship it and then it not work.

Totally agree about the valve body remark there also..
