Radar Detector hard wired install issue

Post by Dave W »

I have a 2004 V70R and a Whistler 3600 radar detector. The radar unit mounts at the front of the car with wiring which needs to run back into the cabin. Does anyone know a safe location through the fire wall to take the wire? The wiring loom for this car runs through a sealed joint through a double metal skin into the cabin so feeding the cable along side is a no go. Being an R the engine compartment is packed so access is limited. Any ideas would be useful

Follow IPD's videos on how to install a boost gauge. It runs through the drivers side fender and through the grommet by the A pillar.

"Hi Lucky" !!!

He runs his under the cowl panel. I like to come through the drivers fender and exit out by the parking light. ( By that plastic panel that covers the evap valve behind drivers headlight ( see hole in fender).
