My car has had a rough idle for the last year, but really only noticed it when stopped at lights. The I went to start it after work (didn't notice anything strange on the drive to work) and it started and then promptly died. Tried a few more times and it would crank but not start. Checked the following:
-Cam is turning
-fuel is squirting out of fuel line under a good amount of pressure (going to check actual pressure today)
-rotor is turning
-verified spark at coil and spark plugs
-new fuel pump installed about a year ago
-no unusual noises when cranking
-was trying to fire a little at times but not very strong
Any ideas would be great! Kind of at a loss for what it could be. Going to replace the rotor and spark plugs today (hasn't been done in awhile). Also, can the timing belt be off? Not sure if that can happen while driving. Thanks
Kelly
