so here we go again...
to refresh this is a 98 s70 auto t5. lately i have noticed that my tranny will shift from 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th very softly. So naturally i checked my tranny fluid, the level and smell was normal, the color was not, looked almost a silvery color. So i am mostly sure that this thing is on the way out my question is should i flush the fluid or not? i have seen in other cases where people have gotten their tranny flushed near the end of its life and just made the transmission fail sooner then it would have if they would have just left it. So now i am at a final turning point of weather or not to trade this car off and get out while i still can or if it would be worth more of my time and money to do a manual swap. Anyone with something to add please do, i am really in a toss up right now.

it is just a bit slow and could be slipping a little, just checked the fluid again and it is not looking to good but still doesnt smell burned, i just had this fluid changed last summer i am guessing that i am doomed. do you think that changing it again will be the end?
