I just noticed that the rubber hose to vacuum controller is broken. I'm not sure if this may cause some problem with its starting, but I will replace it ASAP to see what happens.
In the meantime, I am learning more about the fuel lines and how to check if they are clogged.
Thanks again.

I finally got back to the fuel lines and I removed the line from the tank side and cranked it over. Fuel came flowing out at a pretty good clip.
Now that it seems the lines are clear from that point back to the tank, what's the next thing that could be clogged? fuel distributor? injectors?
any suggestions?

Thanks.
Bob

You are saying you disconnected the fuel return line and cranked it over?

In any case, I would disconnect the fuel delivery line at the engine and tie in a fuel pressure gauge, then reconnect the line and try starting the car. You should have at least 30 psi.

If you have about this much pressure, the problem lies elsewhere.

Have you checked for spark?
