rather than replace a FOURTH broken spring seat, I got on the Kaplenkhe train. I wrote up the work, hope you-all might find it useful.

Phhheewwww!! If those things weren't almost 400 bucks, they'd already be at my doorstep... How's the ride quality now that its all metal for the most part? Basically just a pillow-ball mount as seen on various coilovers. Pretty neat that someone came up with just designing the standalone mount.

the ride is totally fine, no change in smoothness.

also, it's not just a pillow ball, there's also a spring seat and a roller bearing in there, so the ball only takes the damping load, not the spring load.
