I am starting a new thread for my T5R problem since I have changed my thoughts of what my problem may be. I had posted that I had a fuel issue. The car died and sat for many months. I installed a new battery. The engine cranks, but no start. I had no sound coming from the fuel pump and I had jumped the relay, so I bought a new fuel pump and installed it. Still no start. I realized that I had no spark coming from the coil and I noticed that I had no lights at all on the dash. Also, no flashing red light on the dash for the immobilizer. Since the car was new, I had a loose key, so I ordered a new ignition switch and installed it. Still no start. I did the lock/unlock the doors several times and now I have the red light back on the dash when the car is locked. So I don't think it's an immobilizer issue. I checked every fuse in the fuse box under the hood. The radio fuse was shot so I replaced it. I just replaced the camshaft sensor, which was very corroded at the plug, and still NO start. I did clean the connections very good.
So, my current situation is, I have no warning lights of any kind that come on when I turn the key. The dash is dark. I still don't hear the fuel pump kicking on and there is still no spark at the coil. Some of the posts I have read suggest that I may need to change my ecu. Any other suggestions before I just throw some more money at this thing? What is the best way to try and determine if it is the ecu for sure?
Quick recap: Just replaced... battery, ignition switch, fuel pump and camshaft sensor.
Thank you very much in advance!

I've not heard of an ECU failure like this unless it got hit with a spike of some sort. Any chance a battery jumper got hooked up backwards? The did blow the ECU on my sister's Capri. You could try removing it, cleaning the contacts, re-insert, remove, re-insert a few times to clean connections. Have you checked you main fuses, the 60Ampish ones that fuse the whole car? Still sounds like a cam or crankshaft sensor. Check the cap and rotor carefully too. With no dash lights though, I don't think you'll make progress until that is fixed. The ignition switch electrical part may be bad.

Logical, step by step troubleshooting is the solution.
You need to start at the power source and move through
the system in small, easy to confirm segments, one at a time.
Just jumping around from place to place will make you crazy.
Get a meter and a set of wiring diagrams. If you aren't
comfortable with automotive electrical, you may have
to find someone that is to help you out. Pizza and Beer!
