Hi gents my 2004 V50 is consuming 11.3l per 100km and stinks of fuel, idle is very rough especially in morning cold starts. Otherwise it goes smoothly with no other hitches and no fault codes.
My external temp sensor in the wing mirror is not functioning and according to the Volvo dealership tech, the engine uses this and other sensors to get a mean/average reading for the throttle/injection system.
I was under the impression that the external temp sensor is purely for climate control.
All help will be appreciated in troubleshooting this.
